She was phenomenal. Extremely knowledgable and the best provider I've ever seen in regards to the issue I'm trying to resolve. She was absolutely elite

One frustrating thing about the follow-up appointment is that there was no new information for the doctor to review and no specific next steps etc. Because my condition/infection had already been treated I'm not sure what the value of the follow-up referral was given that there were no new tests or procedures.

A written instruction of what I needed to do prior to surgery and why would have been helpful. After arriving home I struggled to remember what I needed to do. Also doctor should have asked me if I wanted to do follow up physical therapy locally where I live. Or at home. She assumed I would do this iat UCSF. A phone number would have been helpful to phone the therapy department. I'm not sure who or where I should make the appointment with.

Wish future appts could be scheduled sooner than later

Very helpful getting me on the schedule and putting me on a cancellation list. She many times with me before I was released

Dr. Chern is solid and practical. She understand my misunderstandings and know how to assure me. She's very patient with me. She is very knowledgeable. And know how to explain to you why she feels her diagnose is accurate.

I give my care 150%. I always get questions answered and problems solved

I was told I would get information in the after visit summary. The AVS was several pages long and didn't include anything relevant to my condition or the upcoming surgery. It was basically a FAQ where all the answers to the questions were that it would be answered when the scheduler called me.

Dr. Chern is a phenomenal doctor and an amazing surgeon. I had the absolute pleasure of being in her care for almost a year and recently had to undergo surgery performed by Dr. Chern as well. She is very professional and has impeccable bedside manners. She definitely knows what she's doing and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon and for a better experience. I 100% recommend Dr. Chern to anyone who's going to need surgery or even a consultation regarding any IBD issues.

I was told I would get a letter with recommendations for treatment and never did.

Happy to know that providers in your facility are knowledgeable n have concern for their patients

If this question is about the UCSF providers who helped and help me then all the answers I put apply as for my primary care provider then the answers won't be the ones I put down. My primary care provider barely talked to me 1 time sense I've been home so to me I need new primary care provider. UCSF did great.

this was a virtual appointment. the dr made me feel like I was a bother to her. she seemed tired and bored with my case. I was taken aback when she came on linelate and I was not sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for her and she's online with what I preserved as sounding demanding and upset with "Where are you"no hello. sorry for the delay. hello are you there? I don't see you?when I did jump back to my screen it was not hello I'm dr so and so. sorry again for the delay. to be sure I'm with the correct patient pls verify your full name and date of birth...I have your records here and in reviewing them ...it was instead "So why am I meeting you? why did you make this appointment "I almost couldn't answer. I was so taken aback. she should have known exactly why the appointment was made. she should have been confirming with me her understanding of why I made the appointment. throughout the appointment when I was talking she was sighing (which made me feel bad dumb and as if I was a bother) She also was tossing her hair running her fingers through her hair and looking up wards- and it wasn't as she was taking as if she were looking for specific words. it was while I was answering her question as to why she's having this appointment with me! she was curt and short in answering my questions again making me feel sure I do not want to work with this dr ever again. she decided to show me a google image of the colon but there were so many images not an isolated picture. I would think being professional and showing this often she'd have an isolated image. I had no idea where she was on the screen which made it difficult to comprehend her message. I finally realized she was marking the image and I couldn't see what she was doing because there was a box of her was covering the image. I was able to move her and then saw all she drew and wrote but now was trying to go back to her first comment to make sense of what she was saying and by then she was done and closed the

I was given solutions to solve my problem from surgery (not recommended) office procedures to solving with physical therapy and nutrition. I opted for therapy and nutrition and if no solution the office procedure. I asked questions and felt good about the advice I was given. I very much like the provider.
