My provider was working with a resident who provided a great deal of information about my procedure. She was informed and thoughtful in her delivery. I appreciate the information she provided and how she worked with me to help me feel comfortable. Dr. Neuhaus clearly had a lot of knowledge and expertise in dermatological surgery which he is passing on to his resident however he did not offer the same sort of bedside manner his resident did. Perhaps there is something from him to learn from her too.

Dr. Isaac Neuhaus is amazing and so is his entire staff. They always treat me so nicely and attend to my every need. And yes I have already recommended his services to others. Every time I have to come back for basil cell treatment I always come to Dr. Neuhaus.

No one really wanted to answer my questions And I felt a bit rushed through the experience

There were many care providers with different jobs throughout my procedure they were short handed because a Dr had to leave due to a family emergency. The team asked me if it was OK that they were running 1/2 hour behind schedule. The hour and a half was after I had the injection and area affected removed. I enjoyed a 11/2 hour read time as It was such cozy a quiet space excellent lighting comfortable seating+ I brought an interest article. I was very happy.

I wish the provider had been warmer and more informative as I was nervous

Just excellent! Not my first surgeon but definitely top of the pack. He was very kind and clear in his explanation. He numbed me up really well (that is not normal in my experience but I really appreciated) - I felt nothing. And he talked with me the whole time and told me what he was doing and what was going on which made me feel calm relaxed and informed. I hope not to have surgery too much but I would use Dr Neuhaus again if I needed it.

I've been seeing Dr. Neuhaus over the past 10 years or so and he is the best!!! He is an expert at what he does and is caring attentive and always takes the time to ask me how I'm doing.

Had both the surgeon and an intern on my case. Very little personal interaction occurred; bot seemed to just do their work as quickly as possible. Not great bedside manner.

Amazing service from everyone involved

Dr Isaac Neuhaus and his resident/fellow doctor assistant were dismissive did not take hime to listen to my concerns and more worried about getting the appointment finished as soon as possible. I asked the resident if I could ask additional questions and her answer was that she was in a hurry and wanted to get Dr Neuhaus in the exam room. She seemed to be in a hurry. Dr Neuhaus was a little better but not much. He didn't even look at me when speaking and both of them hovered over the computer to complete the write-up more so than spend time with the patient. Overall I was disappointed since I've always had a good experience at UCSF. I would not return to this dermatology clinic again.

I had a wonderful experience! Dr. Neuhaus is a fantastic doctor. He listened to me and offered me well thought advice on how to take care of my skin. He Is very thoughtful and showed a lot of concern to my health and well being. He was very nice to talk to and I really appreciate his time and effort to help me. Dr. Neuhaus and his staff are the gold standard for skin care!

It was problematic that I wasn't informed that Dr. Isaac M. Neuhaus would be supervising rather than performing the surgery. Dr. Neuhaus was very curt with the new doctor who actually performed the procedure.

Two Drs came into the room and never acknowledged me or my husband never introduced themselves never called my husband by name - and I was totally ignored except when the Dr told me that I had to leave the room. Absolutely terrible bedside manner. And when my husband was being stitched this Dr told the other Dr not to worry about the size of the scar just do the stitching!!!! THIS IS JUST HORRIBLE. NO PATIENT SHOULD BE TREATED THIS WAY EVER!!!

Dr.Neuhaus and his fellow were tremendous and so informative along the way. Fabulous team and so professional!! Engaging in my post care as well and strong in their rules " no swimming for two weeks" which I so I appreciated. Best in the world.

Lots of people in room ... About 4-5 ...while cancer on face was prepared to be cut out. But all was good.

Both the provider and his fellow listened and understood well my concern especially with regard to timing and they made time to perform a minor procedure on me on the same day of the consult. I felt heard understood and taken care of extremely well.

I greatly appreciated the pages of pre-op information I received several days in advance. It was well written and covered every base. Then as I was leaving I received more printed information that detailed what to expect in recovery and my role in it. Excellent!

Friendly person. I think appointments are being scheduled in too short sequence for doctors to be able to take time with individual patients. There is a lot of pressure to stay on schedule.

The resident whose name I don't recall was exceptional! You should hire her!!

My visit was a referral for a specialized medical issue: removing a lipoma on my scalp and then removing the staples 3 weeks later. Everything was fine.

Hi I find my experiences with Dr. Neuhaus not that great he tends to be very glib. He seems to want to do the procedure and get out of there asap and not really discuss how the procedure heals how to take care of it etc. I had to ask the nursing assistant about how to care for the laser treated areas (and I am not sure it was the best advice) and the laser procedures are on my face so I care even more about the healing process. I also think that Dr Neuhaus comes off a bit arrogant about the pricing.

I am still uncertain what I had. It wasn't cancer just issues with cells. The spot was very small yet the Incision was huge. I am not happy with the size they took. I don't think I would go back to them.

The staff all spoke highly about the doctor without me even asking about him. I thought that was a good sign and indeed he was one of the most skilled Doctors I've ever encountered and kind to boot.

Set up an appointment with a plastic surgeon but unclear as to when they would be contacting me. Unclear how to contact them to follow up. Was regally given a name but not other follow up.

I prefer that the surgeon and not the resident to do excision and suturing. It felt like the excision took longer and was not done as well (sutured neatly completely and efficiently) by a resident. Having a big scar at the top of my back/neck isn't fun and would appreciate having the experienced surgeon do it instead of being a tester for someone learning. I believe patients should be given the choice or be told and be able to decline.

I paid for a treatment that I thought would resolved the issue but it didn't. I was mislead and not properly informed.

I came in with concern about a cyst. I had it surgically removed a year ago and it would occasionally flare back up. This recent flare up was the worst so an appointment was made with the skin surgery department.Originally it was supposed to be removed but the cyst had gone down dramatically (maybe since I had just been on antibiotics?) leading up to the day of the appointment. I did mention that I still felt something there and that it itched so I was worried. But It was just recommended that I use an antibacterial body wash as a preventative and that I should make an appointment with an ordinary dermatologist. I understand that there wasn't much that could have been done that day but I did feel a little dismissed about my concerns over the flare ups. The appointment ended after very brief conversation. Since that visit the cyst has swollen up again and I'm not sure what my next steps should be in the case that it keeps coming back. Would a visit with a dermatologist just end up with me being referred to surgery again? And If the cyst went down again In the meantime would I just be sent home again? I do not have the money to cover the costs of back-and-forth visits I can barely feed myself so I'm just feeling a bit frustrated that there wasn't a bit more Investigation I guess. I understand that I'm not an expert but I am stressed about the situation and just wanted to share how I felt in case someone else experienced something similar.

The care I received from both the doctor and the nurse was excellent.

The only reason I said no on the previous questions about my medical records is that we did not discuss it so I do not know if he had looked at it.

A wonderful experience and I went home feeling on top of the world!

Dr seemed a little stiff; nice and courteous but not so chatty. Had been having nice easy conversations with the Resident prior so that was a bit of the contrast. I did feel very comfortable with his skills and how he spoke with the Resident during the procedure. How he placed his hands on my back during the procedure felt very comforting.

My provider was super. It seemed to me that he was super busy. He had me nicely set up by a nurse and an internist then he came in for the main show/event did his thing and then left. He is obviously very skilled at what he is doing. But I would not say that he spent a lot of time in the room with me.

The doctor came in reviewed the computer handled the procedure in less than 5-MINUTES! The way it SHOULD BE EVERY TIME!!!!!!

Dr is always pleasant respectful and knowledgeable. Answers all my questions and is always good about putting the information in my AVS. Dr. definitely values my time every time.
