My bandage that was set for the next 24 hours positioned tape that abraded my eyeball which I couldn't tell until after numbing wore off & we were miles away from clinic. We were given eye drops to help with pain but no direction on use.

Clearly highly experienced; explained things very well listened well summarized well; I was fairly well informed before I came but he really exceeded my expectations in the way he treated me and explained things. You can also tell he sets a really good tone with the other people in the practice; the residents fellows nurses everyone. You should have a rating higher than "very good" for him and this practice. It was excellent

Dr Grekin knows his stuff and even has a sense of humor that aligns with mine.

Dr Grekin showed empathy and was very thorough with his explanations about what he was doing. Both the cause of my Issues and what he was doing to correct them. He seemed to give me ampleTime to ask questions and didn't seem rushed to get to his next patient.

Honestly really good service all around. The nurses and doctor were extremely nice and helpful with any questions.

I admire and respect the knowledge and acumen of the provider however pre-and post communications from the entire system are lacking

Excellent staff

Dr. Grekin was extremely professional yet warm and friendly as he explained the risks benefits and alternatives to my upcoming procedure as well as my aftercare instructions. I felt very comfortable during the procedure as he kept me abreast of all of the steps as he was proceeding. I left feeling confident and assured that I received excellent care will most likely have a great outcome.

I would give "Excellent or Outstanding " to care provider in place of "Very Good".

Love Dr. Grekin! Who doesn't? :) he is great very knowledgeable experienced friendly doctor. He always listens to my concerns which is important. In the past I've seen several doctors (dermatologists) I had like 2 mins talking to them and that was it. Unlike Dr. Grekin he listens to my concerns. He cares about skin (face) problem. He always tries to come up with solutions for my skin. Highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you Dr. Grekin for everything you do.

Procedure was aborted because referring doctor's office did not provide sufficient information on the site to be treated.

Professionalism put my mind at ease

The entire team was outstanding. Dr Grekin is brilliant personable respectful and a very cool guy.

While it was reassuring to have 3 doctors in the room and I understand that UCSF is a teaching hospital I kinda felt that the docs 'talked shop' too much instead of setting expectations for me on what was going to happen next checking in with me when I was in discomfort.

Did a superb job removing a melanoma from my nose and reconstructing the area so it is almost undetectable.

As said Dr. Grekin and his medical support staff are excellent.

I have known Dr. Grekin for over 20 years and his quality of care was always excellent. He has treated family member many close friends and I have referred many people to the practice. However at this appointment it seemed that Dr. Grekin Was over scheduled. I booked my appointment 3 months in advance and a 2 hour window was blocked. However when I arrived Dr. Grekin was rushing to see other clients. They did not have 2% lidocaine only .5% during the procedure and I felt a lot of pain. I wish the procedure had been rescheduled! I have worked in the health care Industry for over 20 years and this experience has been very traumatic for me. The procedure was rushed and I felt was incomplete with some very inexperienced staff working there. There were experienced staff there and I wish I had them for all of my years of attending the clinic.

I feel I will get good care.

Dr. Grekin is always professional thorough and very caring. He always answers my questions and addresses them very thoroughly.

For knowledge and concern yes. But neither he nor attending mentioned follow up what to watch for any restrictions post treatment.

Dr. Grekin is the model practitioner! An outstanding professional an articulate person a physician-surgeon who listens and explains. He is not one to cookie cut; he explains makes certain the patient gets it and has something to say. He Instills more confidence In 2 minutes than so many others take years to relax enough to.

Thorough followup care instructions were in the after visit summary and printed out for me before I left. I recall discussing specifics of follow up care with one of the nurses not the care provider.

Doctor addressed primary problem but also addressed new infection which was most appreciated by me.

Advise Mohs patients to bring a lunch or snacks.Waiting for test results sometimes takes a long time. Drop by just to let patient know they are still waiting

I know it's the best doctors but it was so confusing having so many people attend me with no one in charge when I left. Now I am home and I have had to call nurse twice

I was scheduled for Mohs surgery and it appeared my records had not been reviewed until that day so they decided to take specimens and then wait a week or two to do whatever surgery will be warranted.

In my opinion if a patient needs dermatology surgery Dr. Grekin and his department is where to be. He is top expert in the field he takes time to explain everything his Fellow and Resident teams who cared for me and my surgery were exceptional they also took time to explain everything and they all make a patient feel comfortable and like family. I have options closer to home but I gladly and gratefully choose to travel to Dr. Grekin and his dermatology surgery department at UCSF.

This doctor is very clear and a great communicator

I was referred to USCF because I had an extremely large basal cell tumor on my nose. From the beginning I was reassured that I had the "best of the best" taking care of me. However I have had 3 previous Mohs surgeries at Golden State Dermatology and felt I was better cared there than at USCF. The pain management wasn't as good as at Golden States Dermatology and the tumor was so large that my discomfort went beyond simple pain management. It reached the point that attempting to numb the regions was becoming itself painful and extremely unpleasant.UCSF is a teaching and research institution. According to Wikipedia there is criticism about the overuse of the Mohs procedure. It seems obvious to me that my procedure was at the very least an opportunity to advance the understanding of Mohs procedures for large tumors. There was a dissertation topic being overlooked which makes my treatment even more unfortunate. The next unfortunate person in similar circumstances will suffer just as much as I did because nothing was learned from me. I had hoped for better on all counts and was deeply disappointment.

Dr Grekin is extraordinary-competentputs one at easehas a delightful sense of humor . My husband has had a couple of Moh's surgeries with him and considers him the best. His assistant for this surgery a wonderful yhoung Chinese female whose name escapes me nowwas also outstanding.

My first consult went fine he explained thoroughly what the procedure would entail. The procedure went well although I have yet to fully recover - he said it would take up to a year. After the procedure I went back the next morning & he changed the bandages. A week later I had a follow up appointment in which he spent less than 5 minutes with me. The next appointment was the one he never showed up or even called or sent an email or text.

I'm not under the impression that there was much choice for me in any aspect of this procedure which I accept. I did question the need for the long "L" repair/scar of the incision site (on my nose) and was assured it was best.

A model practice in terms of professionalism humanity polish focus lack of tension that so often marks others. It is a wondere andrful enclosure of competence and experience and purpose.

Next I go to the clinic and "get the job done!"

the surgeon was incredibly competent but also humble and listened and explained things to me all along. I was made to feel comfortable in asking questions.
